decided against posting your child/children online?

In today’s digital world, many parents are rethinking how (or if) they share their children’s photos online. As a mom and photographer, I’ve felt this tug-of-war too — wanting to celebrate special moments while also protecting our kids’ privacy. That’s why I’ve started offering thoughtful, privacy-conscious photo options in my sessions. Here’s what that looks like.

Why parents hesitate to post

I know that in today’s day and age, the decision to post — or not post — your child online can be a challenging one. There are so many different factors to consider: wanting to share all the cute photos with close friends and family, but also not wanting random people — or those with ill intent — to see them. I’ve had similar thoughts as a new mom. Ultimately, you have to choose what feels best for your family.

Your options during a session

With that said, people are now choosing to either block out their child’s face or pose them in a way that their face isn’t visible. That’s absolutely something I can help with! During your session, if you let me know that you don’t typically share your child’s face on social media, I’ll 1) fully respect that and avoid posting any photos of your child on my platforms (unless you’ve given clear consent for a faceless photo), and 2) take some intentional faceless shots for you to share, if that’s something you're interested in.

What faceless family photos look like

I’ve now done a few sessions like this — where most of the images are beautiful, timeless family moments, especially with your adorable kiddo, with a few carefully captured faceless options sprinkled into the mix. If that sounds like something you'd be interested in for your next session, just let me know! Here's a few samples of some faceless photos I've taken in the past.
